The Wiki Aventurica:GNU Freie Dokumentationslizenz (GNU FDL) allows to use articles from Wiki Aventurica in other places. In doing so the licence regulations of GNU FDL should paid attention to. As document in terms of the licence is deemed to be each single arcticle (so not the Wiki Aventurica as a whole).
- Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, with no Front-Cover Texts, and with no Back-Cover Texts.
- A copy of the license is included in the section entitled "GNU Free Documentation License".
Given that the licence originates from US-American law and was originally designed for software documentation and not for a project like the Wiki Aventurica, a certain extent of interpretation is necessary owing to circumstances. In case of doubt the wording of GNU FDL is applied.

Unmodified Copies
Single articles or the whole content of the Wiki Aventurica may be adopted unmodified for print and online publications. In doing so paragraph 2 of GFDL must be pointed out. The copy must take place completely, in particular the revisional history (that is the names of the participating authors) must copied as well.

Modifications
If parts of an article are modified, so paragraph 4 must be pointed out. In particular the following muss be given:
- The modified version or the new work must be licenced under GFDL again.
- It must be refered to the authorship of the original document.
- Access to an "transparent copy" must be granted (in case of an article of the Wiki Aventurica, its text in Wikisyntax, HTML or an other machine readable format, which specifications are discretionary).
Practical Use in Online Media
In case of an online widespreading of contents of the Wiki Aventurica an "gentlemen agreement" exists: As a general rule the authors will agree to an addition of the following sentence under each copied article (in the example: article XYZ) instead of a literal interpretation of the licence (physical copy of all relevant data, provision of a transparent copy):
|
This article is based on the article XYZ of the free website Wiki Aventurica and is subject to the GNU licence for free documention. In the Wiki Aventurica a list of the authors is available, there one can edit the article. |
"Wiki Aventurica" should be a direct link to the German Wiki Aventurica main page, "article XYZ" should be a direct link to the according article at the Wiki Aventurica. "list of the authors" should be a direct link to the version history of the particular article and "edit the article" a direct link to the edition window of the article (the link syntax can be taken from the example above). "GNU licence for free documention" should be linked to a local(!) copy of the licence. "Wiki Aventurica" sollte ein direkter Link auf die deutschsprachige Wiki Aventurica-Hauptseite, "Artikel XYZ" sollte ein direkter
